North Dinajpur:In the Islampur 100 days project, allegations of massive corruption were made against the Gobindpur village panchayat of Uttar Dinajpur district. The Islampur block administration has started an investigation into corruption based on the complaint of Trinamool Congress MLA Hamidul Rahman of Chopra. There has been a lot of excitement in the area due to the corruption incident. The accused gram panchayat chief did not want to accept the allegations of corruption. Chopra’s Trinamool Congress MLA Hamidul Rahman issued a written order to the Islampur BDO to investigate the corruption. After receiving this instruction, the Islampur block administration was shaken. The complainants were disappointed because the block administration did not take any action against the accused after a month of the complaint. Allegations of misappropriation of funds are completely baseless. However, the villagers have complained to the MLA regarding the Chief’s demands regarding the MLA’s instructions. So he asked the BDO to investigate and find out the truth of the incident. Islampur BDO Rajat Das did not want to open his face in front of the camera, but he said off the record that the investigation was started on the orders of the district administration after receiving the complaint.
